About Project: Selenium is a portable software testing framework for web applications. Selenium provides a record/playback tool for authoring tests without learning a test scripting language (Selenium IDE). It also provides a test domain-specific language (Selenese) [1] to write tests in a number of popular programming languages, including C#, Java, Groovy, Perl, PHP, Python and Ruby. The tests can then be run against most modern web browsers. Selenium deploys on Windows, Linux, and Macintosh platforms.
About Selenium Group Studies :
Selenium Group Studies is a free website which allows Passionate Learners (Testers, Students etc., ) to learn, help others learn and Play with Selenium Automation testing tool. "Learning with No Money is the Objective !.."
SGS will also have Study materials(pdf, .doc for reference), Blog Links, Interview Questions, JOBS which can be viewed/Downloaded by the community.
How SGS will work:
SGS will have Moderator(Master) and Team. Every week the team will be performing some task(Automation) and at the end of the week, Testware (Selenium Test Scripts, Selenium Commands, Reports) will be shared to the community.
Roles:
Master: Will allocate some task for the team. Eg: automate gmail login
Team : Team will try automating Gmail Login and Post their Scripts
Deliverables: Master will deliver workable Script at the end of the week evaluating the Scripts from the Community team.
